Gonzalo Cordero de Ciria nace en Madrid (España) en 1966.
Cursó estudios en la facultad de Bellas Artes de Madrid licenciándose
en 1989 en los que, aparte de su licenciatura en pintura, se interesa en
talleres de fotografía y audiovisuales y participa en 1990 en el
seminario interdepartamental "La Ciudad Invisible" en dicha facultad.
Durante este periodo de estudios y hasta 1994 realiza un trabajo
centrado en las sombras y en una visión fragmentada y monumental del cuerpo,
trabajando en una pintura realizada con barnices de madera y óleo.
Gonzalo Cordero de Ciria has born in Madrid (Spain) in 1966.
He did his studies at the Madrid’s facultad de Bellas Artes, where he has been graduated in 1989. There, beside his degree on painting showed a big concern in the photography and audiovisual panels and participated in 1990 in an interdepartmental seminar called “the invisible city” at the same faculty.
During that studies period and until 1994 he works mainly with shadows and with a fragmentized and sculptural view of the body, doing a work of painting made with timber and oil varnishes.
